Letters from our readers

I have small firm, but the services of designers have to be resorted to quite often. I used to work with agencies, but the prices for their services began to seem overpriced to me.

Then I systematically started working with freelancers. opened every time new project, went through hundreds of applications, trying to find a good and inexpensive performer.

Usually it was possible without problems, but anything can happen. When working with people, controversial issues simply cannot but arise. You expect one thing, the designer saw his truth in your words and draws not quite what you would like. Customers of freelance services will understand me, and not only. Even when buying a finished item on the Internet, when you see a purchase that differs from the photo, you are upset.

At the same time, the service often consists in the development of a single concept, then a period of long edits begins, which do not please either me or the performer, all the more so.

For each individual option you need to pay extra.

Design competitions have become a lifesaver for me. After trying several services, such as contests on, I settled on Freelance.Boutique. This is the perfect place for demanding clients like me :)

What is this service?

This is a platform where you can open a competition to develop a concept for your project. You set a budget, schedule a task, open a competition. After that, the designers offer their solutions - it remains to choose the best work and declare it the winner.

I told a friend about this service who had just decided to register a company and purchase form style and logo. His reaction was interesting: after all, you can pick up ideas, say that you didn’t like anything and get your money back! For one commission only!

First, it's unethical. People tried, from 50 to 100 people puzzled over your TK.

Secondly, the stolen concept still needs to be brought to mind. You can save the picture. But someone must then translate it into a vector for you.

You can't get far on stolen ideas, and I believe that competitions should be fair. Since you have opened a competition, it means that you can pay for the work of people.

Starting your own business with a lie is a bad idea.

Let me return to my experience of working with contests. I opened competitions here several times, and always got the best result for quite a bit of money. I like that later the work can be finalized with the winner, make small corrections. With some guys sometimes I work further.

There is no need to go through hundreds of applications and buy a pig in a poke. You pay for a ready-made concept that you like.

It is difficult only at the stage of the competition - hundreds of works are offered, and each one needs to be considered! It is often difficult to pick a winner. The work is really worthy, and sometimes the choice is not easy to make.

I want to thank the creators of the service - it's really convenient to work, and the idea is very good. Suitable both for those who know what they want, and for those who have not yet decided how they want to see their project.

All participants - inspiration and good luck!

    Welcome!

Trailhead Wear has always tried to bring together energetic and versatile people. These are athletes, musicians, artists, all those who are cramped within the framework of an ordinary city. For them, there is Saint Ghetto with its own rules of the game. The task is simple: create the coolest print. It does not matter to us whether you are a designer with Andy Warhol experience or a brilliant self-taught Banksy, everyone can take part without any restrictions. The main thing is that your work should touch Trailhead in particular, and the whole of St. Petersburg and Moscow in general. What will the first among the best get? Immortal glory and 100,000 rubles in addition (50k cash and 50k gift certificate). But even if you didn’t rise to the podium, and your print is incredibly good, then you definitely won’t be left without attention. So, the scheme is simple: the coolest work, one hundred thousand rubles, you need to have time to draw before September 1. Make a repost and wait for the results. Show everyone what you are capable of!

Submit your work here: [email protected]
(be sure to include links to your contacts)
