1. Introductory speech of the teacher.

Hello guys. As you probably already know, November 26 is World Information Day, which is held on the initiative of the International Academy of Informatization (MAI) and the World Information Parliament (WIP). By tradition, at this time, our school hosts the Week of Informatics, during which non-standard lessons, entertaining quizzes and competitions, and olympiads are waiting for you.

The results of the Informatics Week will be summed up on December 4th. This date is not accidental - on this day Russia celebrates Informatics Day. It was on December 4, 1948 that the State Committee of the Council of Ministers of the USSR for the introduction of advanced technology in the national economy registered under the number 10475 the invention of I. S. Bruk and B. I. Rameev - a digital electronic computer. This is the first officially registered document concerning the development of computer technology in our country. This day is rightfully called the birthday of Russian informatics.

So, we begin our quiz "History of Computing" ( slide 1).

2. Conducting a quiz.

Distribution of roles:

  • Leading
- a teacher or a student with appropriate training and communicative qualities (a high school student may be invited) - leads the game, reads questions and answers, Interesting Facts;
  • PC operator
  • – student – manages the presentation.
  • The remaining students are divided into two teams, the names of which are entered in the corresponding fields of the presentation window ( slide 2);
  • Team captain
  • - One student per team.

    Rules of the game:

    • the first move is determined by the computer randomly;
    • the move passes from one team to another only if the answer is wrong;
    • in the presentation, the team that selects the question is highlighted in red;
    • question number and answer option is accepted only from the team captain;
    • The team with the most points is considered the winner.

    Quiz ( slide 3, Slides 4-39).

    3. The final word of the teacher, summing up, evaluation.

    Appendix 1. Rules for working with a presentation (for a PC operator).

    1. The presentation contains macros and ActiveX controls. For the correct operation of the presentation, it is necessary, firstly, to enable this content, and, secondly, to exit the presentation, use only the controls intended for this.
    2. It is not recommended to interrupt the presentation using the ESC key. To interrupt the slide show, you can use the inscription STOP (lower right corner).
    3. Use to navigate between slides. controls located in the presentation.

The girl developed an interest in programming, to which Ada then passed on with passion all her life. She came up with the idea to use the binary representation of numbers in memory; cycles and subroutines. Unfortunately, during her lifetime, she never saw in practice how her programs work.
    But Grace Hopper succeeded, who was born almost 100 years later than Ada Lovelace. Grace Hopper worked to create software for the Mark I computer. Mark I - over a hundred cubic meters of sparkling metal - was a miracle of engineering, it performed up to three arithmetic operations per second and had as many as 72 bytes of RAM!

    Victory move

    Dear guys, today we will have a quiz game on computer science.

    We live in the 21st century -
    Age of computers, technical discoveries.
    The science of the century - we call computer science
    The whole world depends on computer science.

    And we will call our quiz - Journey to the infoworld. And this is no coincidence.

    Since ancient times, there has been the concept of "terra incognita" - an unknown secret land. I hope that our Infoworld is the territory of informatics and computer technology has ceased to be the same unknown for you, you have learned a lot, it's time to test your knowledge

    You already know that all human life and activity is directly related to the processing of information. As the philosopher Francis Bacon said, "He who owns the information owns the world."

    We are witnessing an interesting stage in the development modern society- the informatization process - the fifth information revolution. A person lives in the information space, and he himself is a part of it. And the computer is indispensable assistant person when working with information different kind and properties.

    Two teams of groups of the 1st course take part in the game: group 1 - K - 1 and 1 - P - 1.
    They should impress us with their computer science knowledge.
    I ask the teams to take their places, and the spectators to greet our teams.

    Today's match is judged by a very competent jury consisting of:

    Let's start by introducing commands. The teams were asked to come up with a team name and motto.

    Let's start by introducing commands.

    ROUND 1 - WARM-UP

    1) A unit of information about which it is absolutely certain that it consists of 8 smaller units (bytes)

    2) The workspace on the computer, which in the plural gave the name to one of the world's popular OS (window - and the Windiws operating system)

    3) The rest of the characters call it "invisible" (space)

    4) It happens: video ..., mother ... and sound ... What is it? (pay)

    5) On the Internet, this is not a house, and not a street, and not even the Soviet Union. Usually contains a special animal - a dog (address)

    6) Previously, this was the name of the warehouse where vegetables were stored, and now ordered data is stored here (database)

    7) Computer handwriting (font)

    8) No matter how much you remember, you will forget anyway. What is this? (password)

    9) The "brain" of the computer (processor)

    Paraphrase proverbs in a computer way

    1) Better a Corvette on a table than a Pentium in a dream. (Better a bird in the hand than a bird in the sky)

    2) They are greeted by computers, escorted by programs. (They are greeted by clothes, escorted by mind)

    3) The program is not expensive, the algorithm is expensive. (Dear is not a gift, but attention is expensive)

    4) You can't ruin a computer with memory. (You can't spoil porridge with butter)

    5) They don't go to Silicon Valley with their computer. (They don’t go to Tula with their own samovar.)

    6) They don’t look into the system unit of a gifted computer (They don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.)

    7) Not an identifier colors a file, but a file identifier (Not a name colors a person, but a person's name)

    8) Bit bytes saves (Kopeck saves a ruble) Media + Insect = Drive _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ (Disk + Gadfly = Drive)
