Infrastructure

Residential buildings for factory workers were built to the north of the current Ryazansky Prospekt as part of the city of Perovo, which later became part of the city of Moscow.

At least 12 workshops were built on the territory of the plant, a polyclinic was opened, a swimming pool and a stadium were built

Manufactured products

In different periods, the plant produced a wide variety of construction equipment and mechanisms: concrete pavers, telescopic towers, earth-moving and milling machines, mortar carriers, plate hoists, cargo-passenger cable and rack hoists, tower cranes.

For the decorative design of the banks and locks of the Volga-Don Canal under construction, sculptures, ornaments and bas-reliefs were cast by the plant.

Steel and aluminum metal structures manufactured at the plant were used in the construction and decoration of such unique buildings as: the Kremlin Palace of Congresses, the Ostankino television center, the circus on Vernadsky Avenue, the Pushkinsky, Oktyabr, Mir cinemas, the Tretyakov Gallery, the memorial on Poklonnaya Gora, the Olympic flame bowl installed at the Luzhniki Stadium for the 1980 Olympics. In 1957, serial production of elevators began at the plant. Since then, elevators have occupied the main place and are the hallmark of the plant.

Today's situation

The economic problems of the 1990s hit the plant hard, but it survived. Today OJSC "Karacharovsky Mechanical Plant" is one of the leaders in the domestic elevator industry. The production capacity of the plant at the moment is about 10 thousand elevators per year.

In the nomenclature of the enterprise there are more than 70 models of elevators of various carrying capacity (from 100 to 5000 kg), speed (from 0.25 to 2.5 m/s) and modifications. At the same time, not only a wide range of elevator models is offered, but also a full range of services related to the service - from the design and manufacture of equipment to its installation and maintenance.

Elevators of OJSC "Karacharovsky Mechanical Plant" are delivered throughout Russia, to the CIS countries, as well as to far-abroad countries. Historically, the plant has been the main supplier of elevators for builders in Moscow - almost every residential microdistrict has elevators manufactured by Karacharovsky Mechanical Plant OJSC. In addition, they are in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, and in the memorial on Poklonnaya Hill. In 2007, the plant produced the 200,000th elevator.

For more than 50 years, it has provided the construction complex of Moscow and the regions with elevators, tower cranes, mobile cargo-passenger hoists and other means of mechanization.

The birth and formation of OJSC "KMZ" is associated with the development of post-war construction in Moscow. From the beginning of the 1950s, the plant began to supply unique large-sized art casting products for the construction of Moscow State University on the Lenin Hills. Including a five-meter chandelier, which still adorns the assembly hall of the main university of Russia, a metal fence encircling the territory of the university with a thirteen-kilometer ring, monumental sculptures of the main building. Sculptures, ornaments and bas-reliefs were cast to decorate the banks and locks of the Volga-Don Canal under construction.

The plant produced a wide variety of construction equipment and mechanisms. These are concrete pavers, telescopic towers, earth-moving and milling machines, mortar carriers, slab lifts, cargo-passenger rope and rack lifts. Many house-building factories in the capital are equipped with non-standard equipment manufactured at KMZ.

In Moscow, it is difficult to find an object for the construction of which KMZ products would not be used. Metal structures made of steel and aluminum, manufactured at the plant, were used in the construction and decoration of such unique buildings as: the Kremlin Palace of Congresses, the Ostankino television center, the circus on Vernadsky Avenue, the Rossiya, Oktyabr, Mir cinemas, the Tretyakov Gallery, the memorial on Poklonnaya Hill. The spire with a star on the building of Moscow State University, the bowl for the Olympic flame, installed at the Luzhniki stadium, were also made at KMZ. At one time, the enterprise did a lot of work on space exploration.

In 1957, serial production of elevators began at the plant. Since then, elevators have occupied the main place and are the hallmark of the plant.

JSC "Karacharovsky Mechanical Plant" is the largest enterprise for the production and modernization of elevators, which make up more than 90% of the total output. The plant is equipped with the necessary machine park, assembly and testing equipment, and is capable of producing up to 6 thousand different types of elevators per year. KMZ also manufactures custom-made elevators with increased comfort and design requirements. A lot of work is being done to modernize elevators and elevator equipment that has been in operation for more than twenty-five years. To date, elevators with the KMZ brand are successfully operated at such facilities as the Izmailovo, Salyut, Universitet hotel complexes, office buildings: Mosprom-Building Materials, Balchug Bank, the Central Bank of Russia, the Olympic Village, etc. .

The high reliability of elevators is confirmed by the experience of many years of operation of more than one hundred and fifty thousand elevators in the conditions of Russia and other CIS countries. They successfully work in twenty-six countries of the world.

Summing up, KMZ is engaged in the production of elevators (freight elevators, passenger elevators, special elevators), the sale of elevators, the repair of elevators and the modernization of elevators, the installation of elevators, the production of tower cranes, winches, hoists and other handling equipment.

Elevators are the main products of the plant and its calling card.

Today, the nomenclature of the enterprise includes more than 70 types of elevators of various carrying capacity (from 100 to 5000 kg) - these are passenger elevators, freight elevators, hospital elevators, elevators for transporting fire departments. Elevators with telescopic doors, with a lower engine room, with a walk-through cabin are also produced.

One of the points of the Strategy is the optimization of production. This process is aimed at maximum concentration and reconstruction of the production infrastructure, as well as the withdrawal of inefficient and environmentally dirty units and equipment from the technological chain.

The consolidation plan provides for three main points for the release of space in the "old" territory. This is the movement of industrial areas, their cooperation (association) and liquidation. Only three small auxiliary areas are being liquidated - their functionality is transferred to outsourcing.

The process of consolidating the production capacities of KMZ PJSC at one industrial site will not affect the production of elevators and elevator equipment. After the “moving”, the production facilities of KMZ will allow to produce annually more than 10,000 elevators for various purposes.

The strategy for optimizing the production of KMZ PJSC fully coincides with the large-scale plans of the Moscow authorities and investors related to the prospects for an increase in the volume of construction of socially significant facilities in the southeast of the capital - housing, schools, medical institutions, road transport network.

PJSC "KMZ" has extensive experience in participating in the implementation of federal and regional programs for the replacement and modernization of elevators that have served their standard period. The list of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, on the territory of which the enterprise has carried out and continues to carry out this large-scale and responsible state task, includes such large cities as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Novosibirsk, Vladivostok and others.

Historically, PJSC "KMZ" is the main supplier of elevators for the Russian capital - they are installed in almost every microdistrict. The city is actively and successfully implementing several projects designed to bring order to the elevator industry. The most ambitious is the Program of the Government of Moscow "On the planning and organization of work on the replacement and modernization of elevator equipment in apartment buildings", which is scheduled to be completed before 2016. From 2011 to 2014, under this program, KMZ PJSC delivered about 7,500 elevators to the capital. These are high-tech machines with a modern design, with a perfect security system, smooth running and precise stops.

PJSC "KMZ" is ready to expand its participation in the state program of the city of Moscow for the medium term (2012-2016) "Housing".

As part of the implementation of the programs of the Moscow Government, KMZ PJSC is ready to act as a general contractor and take full responsibility not only for the production and supply of elevators, but also for their installation and maintenance in apartment buildings in the capital. This involves providing the city with a comprehensive service at all stages of the elevator life cycle.

Project "Proton"

Currently PJSC "Karacharovsky Mechanical Plant" is at the stage of a radical renewal of the model range of elevators. The enterprise stops the modernization of elevators designed back in the Soviet era, and proceeds to the production of a new product "Proton", created on modern technologies and in terms of its technical characteristics is in no way inferior to European counterparts. The model, which was designed jointly with Italian partners, has a number of competitive advantages over analogues, including imported ones. Initially, the Proton Project was focused on the creation of a Russian elevator of the European level.

New models are intended for all segments of the real estate market - residential, office and administrative buildings, hotels and shopping and entertainment centers. The model range includes passenger elevators with a carrying capacity from 300 to 1275 kg and a cabin speed of 1.0 and 1.6 m/s.

Today, a deep modernization of equipment and technological processes has begun at the plant. PJSC "KMZ" invests in the acquisition of advanced high-performance equipment for the industrial production of new generation elevators "Proton". The use of modern machine tools will ensure a reduction in production costs, which will allow not only to maintain the existing price for new products, but also to pay for new equipment.
