Polyakova Tatyana Andreevna,

Chemistry teacher, Omsk Gymnasium No. 159

Omsk, 2017

2017 has been declared the Year of Ecology in the Russian Federation. On January 5, 2016, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree declaring 2017 the year of the environment in Russia. The purpose of this decision is to draw attention to the problematic issues that exist in the environmental sphere and improve the state of the country's environmental security.

The main objective of the Year of Ecology is to ensure environmental safety and preserve the unique nature of Russia.

The key decisions of the year are the introduction of the best available environmental technologies, the improvement of the environmental performance of the regions, the improvement of the waste management system, the protection of the Baikal natural territory, the conservation of water, forest and land resources, the development of the reserve system.

An ecologist is a specialist who studies the impact of human activity on the environment and takes measures to reduce the negative impact and consequences for the ecosystem: land, water, air, forests, animals, climate, etc.

The main task of an ecologist is to preserve the environment for future generations. To do this, environmentalists monitor the environmental situation, ensure the prevention of natural disasters. If a catastrophe did occur, it is the ecologists who will be able to correctly and competently describe the situation and find the best way out. In addition, these specialists investigate the causes of various natural disasters.

Lesson topic: Profession-ecologist

Today, throughout the lesson, we will be accompanied by an experiment.

What associations do you have when you hear this phrase "Chemistry and Ecology"?(student answers).

We will discuss how human activities affect the environment and how we can at least reduce the negative impact of these activities on nature.

What do you think, what environmental problems are facing humanity?(student answers).

You worked on some of these problems, created projects.

Today you will present the results of your project activities,

find out if you have an inclination to work in the field of ecology, try yourself in practical work.

We will start today for the purity of the experiment with the questionnaire (Appendix 1).

Today, society is faced with serious problems associated with a significant and even catastrophic impact of human economic activity on nature. Because of it, the ecological balance of the planet, which has evolved over the years and centuries, is disturbed. The very word ecology was familiar for a long time, back in 1866, but only by 1972, scientists were able to cite figures and facts that confirmed the existence of serious environmental problems. And we got worried, and all over the world began to actively promote nature conservation.

Ecology (from the Greek. Oikos - home, dwelling, residence and - logic - the science of the relationship of organisms or communities with each other and with the environment) was first dealt with by biologists, however, they were mainly concerned with the problems of preserving wildlife, protecting rare species. Modern ecologists solve a number of issues related primarily to the interaction of man and nature.

What are the main problems in the field of ecology?

Presentation of projects by students.

Life as a physical and chemical process takes place in the aquatic environment. Without it, the existence of the biosphere, that is, life on Earth, would be impossible, since the circulation of substances and energy in the biosphere is possible only with the participation of water. How are water resources polluted? (Project "Water Pollution").

One of the most obvious air pollution problems facing humanity is acid rain. Who is to blame for the current situation and are there any prospects for humanity to solve this problem? (Project "Acid rain").

The atmosphere is one of the main parts of the mechanism that regulates the circulation of water, oxygen, nitrogen, carbon. This is a kind of screen that protects life on Earth from destructive influences from outer space. What happens to this screen? (Project "Ozone Depletion").

In recent decades, more and more talk about global warming. This problem is now on one of the first places. (Project "Problem of the 21st century - global warming").

In the last speech, it was said that burning garbage leads to the release of additional carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. The problem of waste disposal is also relevant for our city of Omsk. Try to solve the problem.

Task . According to statistics, 10,000 people live in the city. Let's say each family throws out a bag of garbage with a volume of 1 m per month. 3 .How many cubic meters of garbage will accumulate in the city in a year, if we assume that the family consists of 3 people? How many chemistry classrooms can this garbage occupy if the volume of the cabinet is 270 cubic meters?

Acquaintance with the profession of "ecologist" (Appendix 2)

Suppose you have made a choice and decided that your dream is to become an environmental specialist. But first you should try the profession "to taste". After all, it is obvious that no one, even the most colorful stories and intelligible explanations, will not replace personal experience.

Practical work "Analysis of water quality" (Appendix 3)

Make a conclusion about the suitability of our water for drinking, using the MPC table Analysis of questionnaires.

Ecological game (Appendix 5).

Profession - ecologist.

The emergence of the ecologist profession can be attributed to the middle of the 20th century. What is the job of an ecologist? Research activities play an important role in it.

Field ecology.

In order to understand natural phenomena, to find out environmental patterns, ecologists go on expeditions, observe the life of birds and animals, the development of forests in natural conditions, conduct calculations, various measurements, and take samples for further research in the laboratory. The same work can be carried out in city parks.

2.Experimental ecology.

Environmentalists conduct research in the laboratory, using various instruments, installations, equipment, conduct experiments, studying the influence of individual environmental factors on living organisms. Since today one of the powerful factors influencing nature is human activity, an important place is occupied by the study of the consequences of various human influences on the living world. Ecologists are engaged in practical work to control the state of the environment, determine the degree of air, water, soil pollution and make forecasts.

Environmental engineers work at large enterprises in various industries: petrochemistry, biology, energy, construction, etc., conduct environmental reviews, that is, they are engaged in assessing the impact of production processes on the environment. Their task is to ensure the environmental safety of production, the struggle for the preservation of the environment and the implementation of environmental protection measures. Environmentalists work in state environmental organizations, committees on ecology. They agree on a permit for the construction of facilities, the commissioning of various industries and production lines. They supervise the environmental activities of enterprises, conduct inspections.

The most important task is environmental education: the education of a conscious need to protect and protect nature, to understand the consequences of one's actions in relation to nature. Environmental journalists work in the media: on the pages of newspapers and magazines "GEO", "Around the World", etc.

Environmental specialists are laboratory assistants, engineers, university professors, researchers, environmental journalists, geoecologists, environmental architects.

Profession of Environmental Engineer The presentation was made by Anna Kalashnikova, 8th grade student of MBOU "Lyceum No. 1" in Simferopol. An ecologist identifies the causes of natural disasters and develops ways to reduce the impact of the human factor on the environment.

In the future, environmental issues will take up a lot of space. In connection with the growth of the emission of harmful elements into the atmosphere, environmental problems will become one of the first places. The demand for professional environmentalists and the requirements for them will increase. The profession of ecologist will become one of the most demanded and important.

Ecology, as a science, was formed at the beginning of the second half of the twentieth century. It was preceded by botanical geography. The researcher Alexander von Humboldt is considered the forefather of modern ecology, as he was the first to decide to closely study the relationship of various organisms with the environment. Alexander von Humboldt

Environmental engineer: Inspects various large-scale enterprises for the absence of environmental factors Conducts chemical analysis of soil, air and water to detect pollution, comes up with the most environmentally friendly ways to harvest material and dispose of waste

Responsibilities of an environmental engineer: - development of the environmental policy of the enterprise and monitoring its compliance - preparation of environmental documentation necessary to support the activities of the enterprise, interaction with environmental structures

The environmental engineer works indoors, often with normal lighting and temperature, but, for example, when checking production, he may be affected by strong noises and vibrations. The environmental engineer works according to a standard schedule. There is a health hazard due to the need to work with harmful substances. Medical contraindications: dysfunction of the musculoskeletal system; - pronounced violations of the visual analyzer; - skin and allergic diseases; - neuropsychiatric diseases

Abilities and inclinations: diplomacy, flexibility, civic courage internal discipline stress resistance scrupulousness, responsibility, accuracy (no mistakes can be made) analytical mindset passion for wildlife, ability for scientific creativity ability to work in a team independence decency efficiency

As the main universities that specialize in ecology, we can name the State University for Land Management, Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov. In addition, the Russian University of Chemical Technology named after D. I. Mendeleev, as well as the Higher College of Environmental Management, are suitable for future ecologists. Upon admission to the Faculty of Ecology, those wishing to study must pass several exams. Basically, these include biology, mathematics and the Russian language. In addition, geography may be required. The university admission process can be easier if the applicant has good USE scores. An additional bonus upon admission may be victories in the Olympiads.

Knowledge and skills to be able to freely understand environmental legislation, standards and regulations knowledge of physics, chemistry, biology, processes taking place in the environment to have an idea of the procedure for conducting environmental expertise to know the methods of environmental monitoring to have computer modeling skills to understand foreign and domestic experience in the field of environmental protection to be able to draw up the necessary reporting and documentation on environmental protection
